In the Bahamas, customers hand over U.S. and Bahamian dollars interchangeably. The Pyramid Apex 7601-UB1BHSUSA reads both, so a single 12V DC machine can take whichever note comes out of the wallet.
Two currencies, Coinco-style fit
The face plate matches the Coinco door opening, which lets it drop into cabinets originally cut for that validator. It is a good fit for low-voltage vending, amusement and kiosk equipment on the islands or at resorts serving visitors. Pyramid's optical anti-stringing system blocks tampered notes, the reader recalibrates itself, and a 500-note box stores the take.
