Description
The Pyramid Platinum PT1-LA3-USA has its own 120 VAC power supply built in, so it runs from line voltage in amusement, skill game, kiosk, gaming and vending equipment that has no 12 VDC to spare. Accepted notes go into a lockable 150-note cash box. It reads US currency ($1 through $100) on a 67mm bill width path.
What it does
- Accepts $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 US bills at better than 95% acceptance, around 27 bills a minute.
- Takes 120 VAC on the 9-pin power connector and signals credits through relay contacts there, or through the 18-pin open-collector output (5–12 VDC, 40 mA max). Pyramid's optional wall plug harness, P/N 05AA0012, lets it plug into a standard outlet.
- Works as standard pulse, always-enabled pulse, Mars-style 600-baud serial, RS-232 over the 18-pin harness, or RS-232 through the rear USB Type-B port, depending on its configuration file.
- UV LED validation, dual-stage optical anti-stringing and a mechanical anti-stringing lever work together against counterfeits and fishing.
- Lit bezel and lit bill entry.
- No DIP switches or configuration cards; firmware and settings come from a USB flash drive or a PC and are retained with the power off.
- Self-calibrating sensors, a lift-out bill path for cleaning, and push-button/LED or PC diagnostics.
- Harness pinouts are often compatible with other brands' acceptors, which helps on conversions.
- Made in the USA and covered by Pyramid's 2-year parts and labor warranty.
Who uses it
Operators replacing or adding a validator in line-powered machines laid out for the smaller 150-note box. Inside, it is the same validator as the PT1-LB3-USA; only the cash box differs (150 notes here, 500 on the LB3).
